Job Summary: The Licensed Clinical Psychologist Supervisor is responsible for providing mental health assessment, treatment planning, and counseling intervention services, as well as continually monitoring and documenting patient progress and outcomes. The Licensed Clinical Psychologist Supervisor functions as a member of an interdisciplinary team, coordinating care and reporting patient progress and wellbeing to the clinical team and involved parties in accordance with the patient’s individualized treatment plan. The Licensed Clinical Psychologist Supervisor provides services to patients within the home, office or community as agreed upon. The Licensed Clinical Psychologist Supervisor shall utilize clinically approved modalities, including but not limited to: the use of Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution Focused, Brief Solution, and Focused therapies in accordance with their training and certifications. The Licensed Clinical Psychologist Supervisor provides individual and group clinical supervision to assigned Clinician I and Clinician IIs.
Job Responsibilities:
- The Licensed Clinical Psychologist Supervisor will provide counseling services based on mental health, psychological and human development theories, principles, and techniques to adults, families, and groups
- The Licensed Clinical Psychologist Supervisor will provide psycho education to patients, providing information regarding mental health, emotional disorders or behavioral health
- Participates in staffings, case conferences, or other meetings with or without the patient or the patient’s family participating; when appropriate and not Case Managed by a PNO
- The Licensed Clinical Psychologist Supervisor will facilitate human development and adjustment; assess and facilitate career development; treat interpersonal relationship issues and nervous, mental and emotional disorders that are cognitive, affective or behavioral, and manage symptoms of mental illness
- Provides outreach and follow-up of services
- Ensures the development and implementation of transition, discharge and aftercare plans prior to discontinuation of behavioral health services
- performs all case management functions associated with caseload including completing the assessment and services planning processes; including identifying the need for further or specialty evaluations
- Maintains the patient's comprehensive clinical record, including documentation of activities performed as part of the service delivery process (E. G., Assessments, provisions of service, coordination of care, discharge planning).
- Provides continuous evaluation of the effectiveness of treatment through the ongoing assessment of the patient and input from the patient and relevant others resulting in modification to the service plan, as necessary
The Licensed Clinical Psychologist Supervisor will provide supervision to assigned Clinician I and Clinician II's in accordance with agency and AZBBHE regulations. The Licensed Clinical Psychologist Supervisor will:
- hold an unrestricted license issued by the AZBBHE and
- has complied with educational requirements of the AZBBHE, including being on the AZBBHE supervisor registry.
- The Licensed Clinical Psychologist Supervisor will review ethical and legal requirements applicable to Clinician I and Clinician IIs’ practice, including unprofessional conduct;
- will monitor Clinician I and Clinician IIs’ activities to verify safe and competent services;
- will review and approve Clinician I and Clinician IIs’ documentation and supervision notes;
- will conduct on-going compliance reviews of Clinician I and Clinician IIs’ written documentation
- will rate Clinician I and Clinician IIs’ overall performance;
- will provide weekly individual and group supervision via: face-to-face, teleconference, and videoconference;
- will review observe a minimum of 10 sessions conducted by the Clinician I and Clinician II's through direct observation, audio or video recordings;
- coaches and trains Clinician I and Clinician II's on clinical, evidenced based practices, and administrative tasks and assigns trainings to promote professional development as needed and; complies with discipline-specific agency and licensing rules and regulations and carries out disciplinary action as necessary.
Minimum Education & Experience:
- Master’s Degree related to behavioral health field. (required)
- Licensed through AZBBHE **REQUIRED** (LPC, LMFT or LCSW)

Knowledge, skills, and abilities:
Computer skills including working knowledge of Google Docs, Sheets, and Calendar. Experience with Apple products is a plus. In addition effective interpersonal skills, ability to follow instructions, good written and verbal communication skills, time management skills, knowledge of psychiatric conditions, typing skills, and sound judgment.
